I hate that they can do that, but I could not, simply because of who I might want to marry. Fuck heteronormativity and homogenous societal expectations; I will be my own person on my own terms.

I will hope that every person that proposes at a sporting event is turned down in front of a sold out crowd until full equality is attained, and even then I will probably think it is still cheesy.
